RomeAncient streets, art & long lunches

Flights, hotels & trip essentials ↗

Rome rewards a selective itinerary. Choose the history and art you care about most, then let the streets between them become part of the trip.

01 /

Choose your base

Compare accommodation against your arrival station and planned sightseeing routes. Ask about lifts, steps and luggage storage before booking. For a short break, convenient journeys can be more valuable than a small saving on a distant room.

02 /

Shape three days

Use day one for an ancient-Rome focus, with your principal admission booked separately if required. Spend day two around the Tiber and the historic centre. Keep the third day for art and green space, or replace it with one museum you particularly want to visit.

03 /

Book the right experience

For archaeological sites and museums, compare official admission with the precise inclusions of a guided tour. Check whether entry, headsets, transport and special areas are included. Do not assume a tour title guarantees access to every part of a site.

04 /

Before you book

Confirm current opening hours, entry rules and accessibility with the operator. Keep comfortable walking time and a meal break in each day. Our outline is a suggested route, informed by official tourism material, not a claim of a hosted or personally tested trip.
