Give Paris four days with a clear focus rather than a list of landmarks to finish. Pair a river walk with one museum, then discover the different rhythm of Montmartre.
Four days across the city
Use arrival day to explore near your base and along a manageable part of the Seine. Reserve one museum for day two. Keep Montmartre for a separate day, allowing for hills, and leave the final morning for a neighbourhood you want to revisit.
Choose a connected base
Check the exact station, line and walking route for your accommodation. A central postcode does not guarantee convenient access for your itinerary. Compare arrival airport or rail-station transfers, local charges and baggage storage in the full cost.
One museum well
Choose a collection that interests you and verify its reservation requirements. Do not sandwich a major museum between two distant timed visits. A guided experience should state its admission, duration and meeting point clearly before you book.
Seasons and access
Build a rainy-day alternative into outdoor plans and check gradients in Montmartre. Ask venues and accommodation about the access you need. For seasonal celebrations, use the current official programme rather than assuming last year’s dates repeat.
